Queen's Park won a basement-battle against bottom side Montrose as two goals in the first 25 minutes of the game helped earn a 2-1 win.Queen's Park grabbed the lead after 11 minutes when Chris Hamilton broke on the right and his cross was fired home via the post by Paul Quinn.
Montrose were twice denied by the post in the 21st minute as Steven Tweed headed a corner against the post and when play continued, Marek Tomana also shot against the upright.
Four minutes later the visitors made it 2-0 when Montrose failed to clear a cross and Michael O'Hara scored from close range.
The hosts threw everything forward and got a goal back just after the hour. An Aaron Sinclair free-kick was parried by Scott Black and Tomana shot home but Queen's Park held on comfortably.
