BERLIN, November 10 (Bundesliga) - Andre Lima came off the bench to grab his first goal of the season as Hertha Berlin got their campaign back on track with a late win over high-flying Hannover.

The clash, which last season yielded nine goals from two games, looked set for an anti-climactic scoreline as both sides drew a blank for 86 minutes minutes.

But then, Lima, a 36th minute substitute for Marko Pantelic, chased a Malik Fathi pass through the snow and settled the tie.

It brought to an end Hannover's six-match unbeaten run, leaving Dieter Hecking's side seven points adrift of league leaders Bayern Munich, while Berlin, who claimed their seventh point in six games, climb to seventh in the standings.

Based on their start, Hertha Berlin were good value for the win.

A piledriver from Gilberto set the tone after four minutes, while a second from 30 yards had Hannover keeper Robert Enke scrambling.

Gilberto then missed a header before Lukasz Piszczek got in on the act by firing wide.

It was a frantic opening, but after the break Hannover strengthened.

Mike Hanke came close with a header, while Sergio Pinto forced a good save from Jaroslav Drobny.

The two sides had seemingly cancelled each other out, but with four minutes remaining Lima, who had an 80th minute strike ruled out for offside, stretched onto a Fathi cross and steered the ball home from close range.

Hannover pushed on from the restart, Hanke coming close with a header, but it was to no avail.
