ROSTOCK, November 30 (Bundesliga) - Hannover scored three goals in the last six minutes to secure an away win over struggling Hansa Rostock.

Frank Fahrenhorst, Mike Hanke and Jiri Stajner all hit the target late on to move Hannover up to sixth and leave Rostock hovering perilously close to the relegation zone.

Hanke could have put the visitors ahead in the second minute but his 20-yard effort was tipped around the post by Stefan Wachter.

Hannover's Szabolcs Huzsti brilliantly beat two defenders in the 14th minute but could not apply the finish and fired wide from 25 yards.

Wachter got lucky with a save from Sergio Pinto's 20-yard effort on 17 minutes. Having done well to initially block the German's effort, the ball then trickled towards the goal-line before the keeper recovered to collect the ball.

The home side's first chance came when Victor Agali brilliantly brought the ball down, turned and volleyed in the 37th minute but his shot deflected just over the crossbar.

Hanke saw his powerful 20-yard effort deflect narrowly wide off a defender three minutes before the break.

On 58 minutes, Agali's flick-on fell to Heath Pearce but the American could not quite prod the ball into the empty net.

Pearce was denied by goalkeeper Robert Enke five minutes later after he got clean through on the left of the penalty area, the keeper doing well to stop his powerful low shot.

Marc Stein's 70th-minute effort went straight at Enke as the home side started to dominate for the first time in the game.

Hanno Balitsch's 76th-minute cross found Vahid Hashemian who prodded wide from six yards.

Hannover finally went in front on 84 minutes when Huszti's 35-yard free-kick spun off the wall, wrong-footing Wachter, and Frank Fahrenhorst headed home from six yards.

Hanke doubled the visitors' advantage just two minutes later when Hashemian cut back to Silvio Schroter, whose shot rebounded off the keeper and the post, allowing the Germany international to tap into an empty net.

Substitute Stajner made it three two minutes from time when he turned in Hashemian's cut-back.
