BREDA, August 27 (Eredivisie) - Holland international Wesley Sneijder grabbed a late double as Ajax came from behind to beat NAC Breda 2-1 to maintain their 100% start to the Eredivisie season.

Edwin de Graaf handed the home side the lead just after the hour mark but Sneijder struck twice as Ajax put the shock midweek Champions League exit behind and join AZ Alkmaar, Heerenveen and Roda JC at the top of the Dutch top-flight.

Sneijder forced Breda goalkeeper Edwin Zoetebier into an early stop before Ryan Babel saw his header again saved by the home side's custodian.

Klaas Jan Huntelaar was also denied by Zoetebier with 30 minutes on the watch as his well struck free-kick looked to be heading for the top corner until the Breda goalkeeper intervened to turn the ball away.

Babel had another chance to open the scoring two minutes later but his close-range shot was superbly saved by Zoetebier as Ajax struggled to find the breakthrough despite dominating the first half.

NAC took the lead against the run of play in the 63rd minute as Anouar Diba found De Graaf who fired past Maarten Stekelenburg.

Huntelaar wasted a golden opportunity to level the scores five minutes later as he headed Kenneth Perez's pin-point cross wide before Sneijder found the deserved breakthrough.

Sneijder was allowed space on the edge of the area to beat Zoetebier with a superbly-struck rising shot with 17 minutes remaining.

Huntelaar looked to have thrown away Ajax's chance of taking all three points after seeing his penalty saved by the in-form Zoetebier after De Graaf had felled Angelos Charisteas inside the area.

But, Hunterlaar made amends for his penalty miss as he picked out Sneijder and the midfielder slipped the ball under the unlucky Zoetebier from close range to snatch the win six minutes from time.
