Stourbridge manager Gary Hackett has to make some big decisions ahead of the FA Cup first-round tie against League One side Walsall.

The visit of the Saddlers will be the club's biggest game in their 133-year history and Hackett has to decide who takes over from injured defender Alex Cowley.

The full-back fractured his foot in the previous round against Buxton and there are a plethora of potential replacements available, with Aaron Drake, Sam Smith and Nathan Broadhurst all vying for the left-back berth.

Former Kidderminster goalkeeper Stuart Brock will continue to deputise between the sticks with Lewis Solly ruled out with a broken collarbone.

Hackett is also considering reshuffling his midfield to help thwart the threat of Walsall - a side 95 places higher in the football pyramid.

Walsall manager Chris Hutchings has received mixed team news ahead of the short trip.

Richard Taundry made his long-awaited comeback from a hamstring injury to start last weekend's 3-2 triumph at Wycombe, but was forced off at half-time with a recurrence of the problem and will now be out for two weeks.

Goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin remains on the sidelines for around another 10 days with a hamstring problem of his own, while on-loan stopper Mark Oxley has been denied permission to play by parent club Hull. That means reserve Tim Cooney should take his place on the bench.

Full-back Jamie Vincent (calf) is closing in on a return but whether he features at the War Memorial Athletic Ground remains to be seen.

However, midfielder Dwayne Mattis is available having missed last Saturday's fightback due to illness, Peter Till has overcome the cramp that also forced him off at half-time at Adams Park and striker Sam Parkin returns after a back problem.
