Ross County manager Derek Adams feels his side are raring to go ahead of their clash with Partick after some warm-weather training. The Staggies returned from a training camp in Marbella on Wednesday and Adams was pleased with the attitude of his players on their short trip as they enjoyed a brief spell in the sun.
He said: "It was beneficial for us to get away for a few days. We trained Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, which was great.
"The facilities were great and it was good to train in the sun. We have played 17 games already in the league and cup and I don't think it will benefit us until later on in the season.''
Partick manager Ian McCall has warned his men they face a tough test when they face County.
But despite the magnitude of the game, McCall insists the title will not be decided by the outcome.
"Although Ross County are top of the league and we are third it is obviously far too early to be talking about the game in terms of the title,'' he said.
"It's not until you get to the third quarter of the season that you even begin to look at games in that respect. It would naturally be a good game to win.
"As always our preparation for this game will be good. We will travel before and will be staying in an excellent hotel.''
The Jags have virtually a full squad to select from. Only Paddy Boyle is on the injured list at the moment and he has had a course of injections and should be back on Monday.
Stephen McKeown and Martyn Corrigan both came through a practice game during the week and did well and are pushing for a place in the team.
Ryan MacBeth, who also impressed in that game against a strong Hamilton team, is included.
