Cooper wants morePeterhead boss Neale Cooper is expecting a vast improvement from his side against Stenhousemuir.
Cooper gave his players a grilling after a disappointing defeat at the hands of Alloa last Saturday.
Cooper's men failed to create any chances in a dire game where a 0-0 draw looked the most likely, but a slip-up by Callum McDonald let Alloa in to score the only goal of the game and deny Peterhead a point late on.
Midfielder John Smith is in line for his debut while Neil McVitie will be back in the squad.
He said: "They are an unknown quantity for us and it will be a tricky game, but I'll be looking for a big improvement from the lads.
"Hopefully the fans will see us start to fight for the points and show some much-needed passion for victory.''
Stenhousemuir's longest trip of the season awaits on Saturday.
Former Aberdeen hero Cooper's men will present another tough hurdle, yet the Ochilview outfit have made a decent start to their campaign and manager John Coughlin has a full squad to select from.
He said: "We will have to match their battling qualities. Neale's teams are always up for it but I have been reasonably pleased with the way we have started ourselves.
"They will be a hard nut to crack and - like every week in this division - we will have to be at our best to come back with anything.''
