Nurnberg will be hoping to win for only the second time at the Franken Stadion tomorrow as they welcome Hertha Berlin for a Bundesliga basement battle.

Berlin arrive with a new coach in Friedhelm Funkel, and looking to end a run of seven straight Bundesliga defeats.

A new coach can quite often bring short-term success and give a team an immediate boost, which is a situation Nurnberg know all too well having seen Hannover and Bochum come to Bavaria and take away all three points with a new coach sat on the bench for the first time.

Tomorrow, they will hope not to succumb for the third time against a side in transition.

Nurnberg have won just one of their four home matches so far this season, against Borussia Monchengladbach, losing the other three.

Midfielder Thomas Broich told the club's matchday magazine: "This is incredibly bad luck for us. We have proven our potential, now we have to draw on this quality to bounce back.''

Hertha coach Funkel believes his opponents' home form could actually benefit his side this weekend, with Nurnberg having suffered 1-0 defeats to Hoffenheim and Bochum in their last two home games.

"The pressure is perhaps a bit greater on them because this is a home game,'' Funkel told his club's website.

"This game is obviously very important to us in the short term because two teams meet who are struggling behind their expectations and it is therefore important not to lose touch with the teams ahead.

"It is therefore important not to lose there and, if possible, to even win.''

Sascha Burchert, whose two blunders gifted Hamburg all three points on his debut a fortnight ago, will have to keep goal for Berlin again this weekend because Jaroslav Drobny is unlikely to be fit.

Nurnberg coach Michael Oenning should be able to name an unchanged side on the other hand from the one which lost 4-0 at Bayer Leverkusen on October 3.
