New loan signings Jamie Devitt and Waide Fairhurst are set for their Shrewsbury debuts against Aldershot as manager Paul Simpson attempts to deal with a horrendous list of injury problems.
Ironically, winger Devitt scored against Shrews while on loan at Darlington last Saturday as the Quakers ran out 2-1 winners. But he will be looking to find the net at the other end this weekend having penned an initial month-long deal along with Doncaster striker Fairhurst.
Simpson was missing 10 first-team players for Tuesday night`s Johnstone`s Paint Trophy defeat at Accrington and it remains to be seen if any will return in time to face the Shots.
Goalkeeper Steve Phillips (shoulder), defender Dean Holden (groin) and midfielder Paul Murray (knee) were all ruled out on the day of the game but it is hoped they could line up at the Prostar.
Striker Omer Riza (ankle) and midfielder Terry Dunfield (shoulder) have returned to training after lengthy absences but it is unlikely they will be thrown into the mix so soon.
That leaves first-choice strike pairing Dave Hibbert (Achilles) and Jake Robinson (ankle) definitely on the sidelines, along with midfielder Craig Disley (knee), defender Mike Jackson (bone bruising) and reserve keeper Glyn Garner.
Aldershot caretaker manager Jason Dodd is hoping to have goalkeeper Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz and defender Adam Hinshelwood in his side for the trip.
Jaimez-Ruiz came off at half-time of last weekend's 3-2 defeat to Bury with a knee injury and is facing a late fitness test, with Clark Masters poised to make his first league start for the club if required.
Hinshelwood was also replaced last weekend with a back complaint and could miss out.
Dodd will have midfielder Kirk Hudson available again after he recovered from a bout of flu but Dean Howell is a long-term absentee having had a hip operation in the summer.
Ben Harding is still out with an ankle injury while John Halls has yet to regain fitness from a groin strain.
