Shrewsbury will be without Joss Labadie for their match against Port Vale.
The on-loan midfielder, who has scored with four goals in his last five games, was given his marching orders during Saturday's 1-1 draw at Morecambe having been shown a second yellow card.
He was due to serve a one-match suspension against Accrington Stanley in midweek but the game was called off and his ban now extends to this weekend.
The cancelled game has allowed defender Dean Holden and midfielder Paul Murray to overcome niggling injuries.
And there was further positive news with Craig Disley's knee injury not as bad as first feared with the midfielder hoping to return in four or five weeks, while Terry Dunfield is making good progress following his shoulder operation and Omer Riza (ankle) is back in training.
Port Vale manager Micky Adams is planning on making minimal changes to his starting line-up.
Adams' men enjoyed a 3-1 victory over Stockport in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in midweek with forwards Lewis Haldane, Louis Dodds and Marc Richards all impressing in a 3-4-3 formation.
Striker Jamie Guy could also be in contention after making his debut off the bench in midweek following his three-month loan move from Colchester, while Jason Jarrett (shin) is fit.
Doug Loft, who has been suffering with a calf injury, and midfielder Rob Taylor, who was laid low with a virus, missed the midweek game and will be hoping to return to contention.
Geoff Horsfield is out with a groin injury, though, while Simon Richman (hip) will be assessed.
Meanwhile, 20-year-old striker Steve Thompson has left the club after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
