Huddersfield will be without on-loan pair Liam Dickinson and Steve Jones for their FA Cup clash with Port Vale.

Derby striker Dickinson and Burnley forward Jones have not been given permission to play by their parent clubs.

Caretaker-manager Gerry Murphy will also be without skipper Jon Worthington and last week's matchwinner Keigan Parker in his first game in charge following the departure of Stan Ternent.

Worthington reached five yellow cards for the season last week and Parker was sent off for two bookable offences, so both sit out a one-game ban.

The good news for Murphy, in his third stint as temporary boss, is that striker Danny Cadamarteri is fit again following his five-match lay-off due to a hamstring problem.

Veteran forward Andy Booth (back) remains a long-term absentee and midfielder James Berrett is nursing a similar problem.

On-loan Damien McCrory will play his last game for Port Vale.

The Plymouth defender has enjoyed a successful one-month loan deal at Vale Park and despite boss Dean Glover looking to extend his stay, Argyle will retain his services in the light of his call-up to the Republic of Ireland Under-19s squad.

Vale have also been dealt a blow with the news winger Shane Tudor faces at least three more weeks out due to complications with his knee problem.

Striker Kyle Perry remains sidelined with a knee injury while midfielder Rob Taylor (hamstring) is also on the treatment table.

Forward Steve Thompson remains the only long-term absentee for the League One outfit with his troublesome hamstring problem.
