BREMEN, October 31 (Bundesliga) - Werder Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs has called for his team to kickstart their season by beginning a winning run against Hertha Berlin on Saturday.Tuesday's 2-0 defeat at home to second-placed Bayer Leverkusen has seen Werder slide to 10th spot in the Bundesliga standings - nine points behind leaders Hoffenheim.
Next up is a meeting with high-flying Hertha, who head to Bremen buoyed by Wednesday's 3-0 victory over Hannover.
"We need to turn things around now,'' Allofs said. "There is no explanation for the mistakes we keep committing. There are problems, but we will not discuss them in public.
"Everybody is responsible for the situation we are in now.''
Coach Thomas Schaaf - whose job is safe, according to Allofs - will be without Denmark midfielder Daniel Jensen due to an Achilles injury in the must-win home game against the capital club.
Also sidelined could be Clemens Fritz, who is still hindered by muscular problems, while Hugo Almeida has been suffering from flu.
Tim Wiese is expected to regain his starting place between the posts following a thigh injury.
Despite their rise to the fifth place in the table, not all has been well in Berlin.
Striker Marko Pantelic hit out at coach Lucien Favre and Hoeness when he was dropped for unintentionally missing training, saying he was "sick'' of the way he was being treated.
But both Favre and Hoeness have since played down the feud, with the latter preferring to look at the positives ahead of this weekend's encounter.
"We are playing very well,'' he said. "Favre has instilled a winning mentality.''
Steve von Bergen (back), Armine Chermiti (knee), Christian Fiedler, Lucio (both ACL), Patrick Ebert (groin) and Lukasz Piszczek (hip) are unavailable for selection against Werder.
