Grimsby boss Mike Newell could name an unchanged line-up for the vital game with Port Vale.
The Mariners hauled themselves out of the relegation zone with a 2-0 win at Notts County on Monday and Newell looks set to keep faith with the same players as they fight for their Football League lives.
Midfielders JP Kalala (groin) and Paul Bolland (knee) are the only absentees for Newell and neither will play again this term.
Danny Boshell marked his comeback from injury with a goal at Meadow Lane and he is set to continue in midfield.
With Luton's relegation fate sealed last week, it will be one of Grimsby, Chester or Bournemouth that join the Hatters in the Blue Square Premier next season and Newell will be hoping the Mariners can continue the good form that has seen them win three out of the last five matches.
Captain Marc Richards looks likely to once again miss out for Port Vale.
The striker, Vale's leading goalscorer this season with 10 in League Two despite a campaign blighted by injury and suspension, has missed the club's last five matches having suffered a recurrence of an Achilles problem.
And it will be touch and go whether he plays again this season now Vale have assured themselves of League football come August.
Gareth Owen (ankle) gained further match fitness by featuring for the reserves on Wednesday, although it remains to be seen whether manager Dean Glover includes the defender in his starting XI after Monday's unused substitute appearance against Rotherham.
Dave Brammer and Scott Brown should be available having missed out against the Millers with groin and calf injuries respectively, while fellow midfielder Dave Howland is also expected to be in the frame after illness.
Glover must decide who to start in attack with Kyle Perry partnering Louis Dodds last time out, and James Lawrie and Steve Thompson on the bench.
