New Arbroath signing Ian Dobbins will be unavailable for the Red Lichties' clash with East Fife despite completing a move to the club on Friday.Dobbins is suspended after being sent off in Stranraer's cup tie against Forfar for squaring up to a teammate while Kevin McMullan will also be missing as he serves a two-game suspension.
New arrivals Marc McCulloch, Craig Forsyth, David McGowan, Robbie Ross and Cameron will all be looking to be involved, as will Alan Rattray and Paul Lunan who have recovered from injury.
Jamie Bishop had work commitments on Friday and felt unwell on Monday so was excused from the Dunfermline game but is expected to be available.
Bryan Scott faces a fitness test on a hamstring injury while John Fraser is still some way off a return to the side.
Former Dunfermline and Raith Rovers midfielder Jason Dair could make a dramatic return to action for East Fife after virtually two years out through injury.
The 34-year-old has not played at all in the last 18 months following knee reconstruction and has only featured twice since November 2006 because of persistent calf and knee problems.
However, the ex-Motherwell and Livingston player featured for an hour in a closed-door game earlier this week and could be included in the squad.
East Fife, who have Kevin Fotheringham and Shaun Fagan suspended, lost Steven Tweed to the manager's job at Montrose and also released Paul Walker to take their losses to six this month following the departures of Ryan Blackadder, Kevin Gordon, Craig O'Reilly and Dene Shields.
Boss Dave Baikie could also welcome back Goran Stanic after a lengthy spell on the sidelines and could include St Johnstone's Kevin Jones who arrived on a month-long emergency loan deal to regain match fitness.
