Burnley manager Owen Coyle has several injury concerns ahead of the visit of Norwich.

Coyle was missing central defenders Michael Duff (illness) and Clarke Carlisle (hamstring) for their home victory over promotion rivals Reading.

Left-back Christian Kalvenes started against the Royals but was forced off in the second half due to a slight tweak in his hamstring and is unlikely to play.

Skipper Steven Caldwell is struggling with a knock and could miss out, but Clarets boss Coyle could be tempted to hand Robbie Blake a starting berth.

Blake came off the substitutes' bench to fire a late winner against the Royals and Coyle must decide whether to break up the partnership of Martin Paterson and Steve Thompson.

Norwich boss Glenn Roeder is poised to recall Gary Doherty to the starting line-up for the trip to Turf Moor.

The 28-year-old defender was rested for the 3-1 defeat at Derby during the week having previously played three times in eight days following his early return from an ankle operation.

But Roeder is likely to recall the Irish centre-back to plug the leaky defence with John Kennedy the most likely to make way.

On-loan Reading striker Leroy Lita will start his last match before returning to his parent club unless an agreement can be reached between the two clubs.

Antoine Sibierski is a doubt after the on-loan Wigan forward limped out of the match at Pride Park having started the match with a strapped up knee.

Jon Otsemobor remains on the sidelines with an ankle ligament injury and will not be involved while Mark Fotheringham remains doubtful with a hamstring problem.
