Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy may consider some drastic defensive changes for the home clash with Rochdale.
McIlroy`s side were destroyed 5-0 by Gillingham last Saturday with the home team running in four goals in the opening 45 minutes.
This resulted in strikers Gary Hunter and Ryan McCann being withdrawn at the break, with midfielders Neil Wainwright and Aaron Taylor being brought on.
However, defensive trio Andy Parrish, David Artell and Jim Bentley may pay for their performance against the Gills.
Matt Blinkhorn has spent the last month on the sidelines as he recovers from a cartilage operation but he may be back in action this weekend.
Forward Diarmuid O`Carroll is pushing for a return to the starting line-up after being left on the bench last weekend.
Michael Howard is a long-term absentee with a stress fracture of his back, while Paul Lloyd is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
Rochdale boss Keith Hill will be without striker Jordan Rhodes.
The teenager has returned to parent club Ipswich following the completion of his month-long loan stay at Spotland.
Rhodes' return to Portman Road means Chris Dagnall and Adam Le Fondre will battle it out to partner Lee Thorpe in attack.
Defender Simon Ramsden faces a late fitness test following a calf injury sustained in the 3-1 win against Accrington last month and if passed fit, Marcus Holness will make way.
Forward Jon Shaw is still out with a niggling thigh injury which has seen him miss the past seven league outings for Dale.
Hill will also be without 19-year-old winger Kallum Higginbotham who has joined League Two rivals Accrington on a one-month loan deal.
