BERLIN, March 22 (Bundesliga) - Schalke midfielder Jermaine Jones has warned his team-mates not to underestimate Hertha Berlin when the two sides lock horns on Easter Sunday. It has been another poor season for the capital club, with Hertha having disappeared into mid-table anonymity a long time ago. Yet Jones is wary of Sunday's opponents.
"They have beaten a few sides I did not expect,'' he said.
"We will go into the match fully concentrated and highly focused. It is important for us to enter these kind of matches with the same concentration as direct clashes with the likes of Werder Bremen or Hamburg.''
Even though the Royal Blues have secured their passage to the Champions League quarter-finals and head into the match on the back of a two-game winning streak, there has been criticism about the way they performed in the come-from-behind victory over Duisburg.
"All that matters is that we completed the turnaround,'' goalkeeper Manuel Neuer said.
"We have to take the positives out of it. After all, we've lost similar matches before.''
Zlatan Bajramovic (toe) and Ze Roberto (thigh) will not make the trip to Berlin as coach Mirko Slomka is expected to field the winning team from the 2-1 win over Duisburg.
Hosts Hertha will be without the services of attacking talisman Marko Pantelic, who is nursing a calf injury. Solomon Okoronkwo and Andre Lima are battling to replace him.
Lucien Favre's team will be eager to lengthen their six-game unbeaten run.
"We want to extend our streak,'' Favre said.
"Schalke are of a different calibre than our most recent opponents. They are strong in the tackle and good from dead-ball situations. But to be honest that does not interest me much.''
