2008 Power Rankings: Week 3
Rank (Last Wk) Team Record (W-L-T) Comment
1 (2) Chicago 2-0-1 They didn't do it with style, but Blanco and Co. grabbed three points on the road.
2 (6) New England 2-2-0 After a road win and a home loss, the Revs are the league's biggest enigma so far.
3 (1) Kansas City 2-1-1 Winless week raises serious questions about the Wizards' attack.
4 (7) Colorado 2-1-0 This is no fluke: Fernando Clavijo's unsung cast has got it going on.
5 (3) Chivas USA 1-1-1 Yes, that was last year's Goalkeeper of the Year, Brad Guzan, having an absolute nightmare.
6 (8) FC Dallas 1-0-2 Arturo Alvarez had a masterful performance that made Dallas fans say,
7 (11) Columbus 2-1-0 Two early wins at home will go far in keeping Sigi Schmid employed.
8 (12) Real Salt Lake 1-1-1 Kyle Beckerman has gone from reviled enemy to beloved playmaker in a short span.
9 (5) New York Red Bulls 1-1-0 The honeymoon is over for Juan Carlos Osorio -- yes, it happens that fast.
10 (4) DC United 1-2-0 Is another CONCACAF Champions Cup exit hangover coming?
11 (9) Houston 0-1-2 Tony Caig actually posts a shutout but that Dynamo attack still looks stale.
12 (14) Toronto FC 1-2-0 Yes, they beat the Galaxy, but it might have been a bit of a fluke. Amado Guevara had a nice debut, though.
13 (10) Los Angeles 1-2-0 So much for last week's good vibe. Landon Donovan nets twice but should have had five.
14 (13) San Jose 0-2-0 Another loss, this one marred by a remarkable miss by rookie Shea Salinas.
