2006 Power Rankings: Week 7
Rank (Last Wk) Team Record (W-L-T) Comment
1 (2) DC United 4-1-0 Peter Nowak's boys have the best record in the East, but they rode their luck in the victory over Kansas City.
2 (1) Kansas City 4-2-0 Given the chances they created, the Wizards deserved much better against United.
3 (3) Houston 4-2-0 With Brian Ching missing, Houston hopes Dwayne De Rosario's injury is minor.
4 (4) New England 3-2-0 Finally seeing the Revs team that showed up last year.
5 (5) FC Dallas 4-1-0 The sight of goalkeeper Dario Sala milking the clock in the first half is an image that MLS doesn't need.
6 (9) Columbus 3-3-0 Big trade with L.A. pays immediate dividends as Ned Grabavoy nets the winner.
7 (6) Colorado 2-3-0 Wishing they could play every game at altitude.
8 (8) Chicago 1-1-0 There's no quit in this team -- although the loss of Jim Curtin will take a toll.
9 (10) Chivas USA 1-3-0 Absence of Claudio Suarez may prove significant for the young Chivas defense.
10 (7) Los Angeles 2-5-0 It's official -- without Landon Donovan the Galaxy are the worst team in MLS.
11 (11) New York Red Bulls 0-1-0 Another tie and another Amado Guevara meltdown. The Red Bulls should cut their losses and bid goodbye to the midfielder.
12 (12) Real Salt Lake 1-5-0 Desperation can make a team work wonders, but can RSL build on the rout of the Galaxy?
