Dos Santos Ramirez Giovani Bio

Giovani dos Santos passed a medical and agreed terms to complete his move to Tottenham Hotspur from Barcelona in June 2008 for an initial fee of £4.7m, potentially rising to £8.6m.
Spurs fans were purring ahead of the 2008/09 season as the Mexican forward found the net regularly during pre-season, with goals against Spanish side Tavernes German outfit Borrussia Dortmund.
Giovani made 28 senior appearances for Barcelona during the 2007/08 term, scoring three goals.
The 19-year-old has already graduated to the senior Mexican side after starring in the 2005 FIFA U17 World Championships and the FIFA U20 World Championships in 2007.
With the departure of Robbie Keane and continuing uncertainty about Dimitar Berbatov's long-term future Giovani was seen as the player who Spurs could build their attacking line around for seasons to come.
However, Giovani failed to make any kind of impression starting the opening game of the Premier League season against Middlesbrough. By March 2009 he had started a total of five matches in all competitions with another seven games from the bench. He was then loaned to Ipswich Town.
Another loan move followed in January 2010, when he chose to move to Turkey to join Galatasaray.
