Ben Hinchliffe Bio
Send To Friend
Hinchliffe teamed up with former Preston North End manager Billy Davies again in July 2007 when he signed for newly promoted Derby County on a free transfer.
The keeper was born in Preston and came through the ranks at Deepdale, where he first caught the eye of Davies, but didn't make a senior appearance for the club.
Following a loan spell with UniBond Premier outfit Kendal Town he made his league bow while on loan at Tranmere Rovers at the end of the 2006/07 season, with an appearance as a substitute and then a start on the final day.
Hinchliffe was released by Preston at the end of the campaign.
