Jeremie Aliadiere Bio Send To Friend

Middlesbrough completed the signing of Aliadiere in June 2007, for an initial fee of £2m after the striker's professional career hit the skids after two loan moves in 2005/06 promised more than they delivered.

A graduate of the famous Clairefontaine Academy in his homeland, he moved to Arsenal but failed to make an impression on loan at Celtic or West Ham United, leading to a third loan spell in the Championship with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He made the breakthrough into the Arsenal first team during the 2001/02 season, but was never able to cement his place in the side and was hampered by injuries during his time at the club.

He joined Celtic on loan for the 2005/06 campaign, hoping to gain experience and put his injury ills behind him. However, the loan move failed to improve, before Arsenal offered him to Premiership clubs on loan.

The striker left Celtic after less than two months and 27 minutes of first team football, choosing to move to West Ham United for the season.

But the move to Upton Park didn't work out either and after just eight appearances the loan was again cancelled, and on transfer deadline day in January he was loaned to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Unable to make the breakthrough, he only scored twice at Wolves and returned to Arsenal without being able to earn himself a permanent deal.

Middlesbrough eventually signed the striker for £2million in June 2007 and he has yet to make the impression he is capable of showing. Involved in controversy when he was sent off for slapping Javier Mascherano, Aliadiere is best known for having his ban increased to four games after the club's appeal was deemed 'frivolous' by the FA.
