Andranik Teymourian Bio
Send To Friend
Iranian international Teymourian joined Fulham on a two-year contract from Bolton Wanderers in June 2008.
The 25-year-old defensive midfielder started his career with Oghab FC in Iran's Azadegan League, and continued his professional career playing for FC Aboomoslem in the Iranian Premier League before signing a two-year deal with Bolton Wanderers, for an undisclosed fee in August 2006.
In his first season at the Reebok the defensive midfielder, who is equally at ease out wide on the wing, finished with five goals in 16 appearances.
A string of impressive substitute appearances established him as a popular squad member amongst the Bolton supporters, as did his first two Premier League goals which came during a man of the match performance against local rivals Wigan Athletic in April 2007.
However the departure of Sam Allardyce saw his chances limited in his second season with the Trotters, with neither Sammy Lee or Gary Megson rating the Iranian. In May 2008 he was not offered a new contract by Bolton, and left the club with 20 appearance and 2 goals to his name.
Teymourian has played for Iran at every level from youth to senior football, and represented his country at the 2006 World Cup, and has also been called up for the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign.
After making his debut as a late sub in a 1-0 home win over Arsenal the player struggled to make an impression at Fulham and was loaned to Barnsley on transfer deadline day in February 2009.
