Michael Duff Bio Send To Friend

Duff joined Burnley in the summer of 2004 for just £30,000 from Cheltenham Town, and has proved to be superb value for money.

A product of the Darlington School of Excellence, Duff moved to Cheltenham in 1994 and made his first team debut three years later. He was part of the side which won the FA Trophy in 1998 and then won promotion to the Football League the following season.

Duff progressed as Cheltenham moved up the leagues, leading to a full international debut against Poland in 2002.

He played 231 games, scoring 12 goals, before moving to Burnley.

Primarily a right-back but also able to play in the centre of defence, Duff has proved himself to be a true professional.
