Mohammed Camara Bio Send To Friend

Camara joined Derby County on a free transfer from Scottish giants Celtic in the summer of 2006 after dropping down the pecking order at Parkhead.

Rams manager Billy Davies fought off competition from Leeds United to sign the athletic left-back in order to add valuable experience to his squad.

The Guinean international began his career in France with Division Three club Beauvais before earning moves to Troyes, Le Havre and Lille.

His first move to English football came in 2000 with Wolves, where he spent three years, before moving to Stan Ternent's Burnley.

Ternent's successor Steve Cotterill forced the left-back to focus on his crossing ability, causing a dramatic up-turn in his form at the beginning of the 2004/05 season, and Camara subsequently left Turf Moor for Celtic when his two-year contract had expired.

He returned to England for the 2006/07 season, after a single campaign in the Scottish Premier League, to help Derby to secure promotion to the Premier League.
