Brian Jensen Bio
Send To Friend
A true club legend, Jensen signed for Burnley in 2003 after he was released by West Bromwich Albion and is the longest serving player at Turf Moor.
Whenever the big Dane makes a save the Clarets' fans can be heard shouting out "Beast", the goalkeeper's nickname.
He began his career in Denmark with B93 before moving to Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in 1997. He failed to impress in the Eredivisie, and was loaned back to Hvidovre IF in his homeland.
Jensen moved to England in 2000 when joining the Baggies for £80,000 from AZ.
He started off brilliantly with the Baggies, making the spot between the sticks his own. However, the signing of Russell Hoult from Portsmouth resulted in him dropping down the pecking order and ultimately headed for Burnley.
Jensen has had to see off several challenges for the gloves at Burnley but in the promotion season of 2008-09 he missed just one of the club's 49 league games. That took his total club appearances to 240.
