George Friend Bio
Send To Friend
Friend came through the ranks at Exeter City, breaking into the first team at the end of the 2005-06 season and making his debut in a goalless draw at Forest Green Rovers.
But it wasn't until the 2007-08 campaign that he came to the fore and was a star of the side which earned a return to the Football League in the Conference play-offs.
That led to a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers on transfer deadline day in September 2008, and he was handed his bow in a 3-1 loss at Swansea City.
The £350,000 signing struggled to make an impact in his first season at Wolves.
