Dickinson swapped Derby County's academy for Stoke's academy in 2002 and has been getting rave reviews from the Potters ever since.
After becoming a mainstay of the of the academy and reserve team he made his full debut against Sheffield United on April 1, 2004 and was nominated as man of the match.
The left sided defender/midfielder was on loan at Icelandic club Víkingur until July 2006 and spent time at Blackpool before returning to the Potters to put in a series of impressive performances at left-back.
He is a committed player who has become a fans favourite.
He made seven appearances in 2008/09 before moving on loan to Leeds United in January 2009. He had played under Leeds boss Simon Grayson at Blackpool.
