Luke Moore Bio Send To Friend

Brother of fellow Villa striker Stefan, Luke was tipped for big things at Villa Park yet failed to make the grade under Martin O'Neill's tutelage at Villa Park.

He and Stefan had been instrumental as Villa won the FA Youth Cup in 2002.

Moore was loaned to Wycombe Wanderers in mid-December 2003, where he made his professional debut in a 1-1 draw at Notts County.

On his return, he benefited from an ankle injury suffered by his brother to get his Villa debut.

His first senior goal for Aston Villa came in the 2-0 victory against Middlesbrough in March, 2005. Less than a year later Moore scored his first Premiership hat-trick for Villa, again against Middlesbrough.

A shoulder injury saw him drop down the pecking order at Villa as he missed almost the entire 2006/7 season.

Rangers attempted to buy him during the January transfer windown of 2008. And while the Scottish side could not afford him, local rivals WBA offered £3.5m to the Villans.

He initially joined on loan in February 2008 and made 10 appearances before becoming Tony Mowbray's first buy of the summer of 2008.
