Gretar Rafn Steinsson Bio
Send To Friend
Steinsson was a January transfer window signing for Bolton in 2008 as they sought to stave off relegation from the Premier League.
The Icelandic international was an ever-present after his signing on the dotted line as Bolton's defence became more stingy as the Trotters staged a great escape.
Steinsson started his career with local team KS in Siglufjörður and later played for Akranes before going abroad to play professionally for Swiss club BSC Young Boys.
He joined AZ Alkmaar in 2006 and became a regular under Louis Van Gaal before English football came calling.
