Leon Andreasen Bio Send To Friend

Leon Andreasen joined Fulham in January 2008 from Werder Bremen for an undisclosed fee. The midfielder signed a three-and-a-half year deal that will keep him at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2011.

The Danish international began his professional career with Aarhus GF in 2001 and went on to make over 100 appearances for the for the top-flight Danish Superliga outfit.

A move to Bundesliga club Werder Bremen came in 2005 and initially seemed to have been a good move as a string of injuries resulted in Andreasen enjoying a run in the first team. However, the Dane's luck ran out and when the squad returned to full strength and he was relegated to bench.

In the 2006/07 season Andreasen only played four games for Werder and was loaned out to FSV Mainz in January 2007. The loan went well for the player as he scored four goals in his first seven matches and earned his first international cap in March 2007 against Spain.

Following his move to Fulham Andreasen made nine appearances and played an important role as the Cottagers avoided relegation from the Premier League.

But after failing to hold down a first team place he returned to Germany with Hannover 96 on deadline day in February 2009.
