A Dutch youth international, Barazite is a cultured midfielder with a good range of passing, who has yet to break into the Arsenal first-team.Joining the club in summer 2006 from NEC Nijmegen, he scored on his first appearance in an Arsenal shirt, playing 90 minutes in the pre-season friendly against Boreham Wood and scoring the third goal.
Barazite made his competitive Arsenal first-team debut in October 2007, against Sheffield United in a League Cup Fourth Round match and was named on the Arsenal bench for the final Premier League game of 2007/08 against Sunderland.
He featured in Arsenal's preseason campaign for 2008/09, but joined Championship side Derby County on loan until the end of the year.
In December 2008 it was confirmed his loan spell was to be extended untill the end of the 2008/2009 season and he has impressed at the club during his time there.
