Local lad Rodriguez made his debut for Burnley during the festive period in 2007-08, coming off the bench in a 1-0 home loss to Bristol City.

The forward was then loaned to Scottish side Stirling Albion to gain first team experience, where he scored three goals in 11 First Division appearances.

He was a regular sub in Burnley's promotion season of 2008-09, and scored a memorable goal for Burnley against Tottenham in the League Cup semi-finals which earned extra-time before they finally bowed out.
