Fabianski's career has stalled at Arsenal and his errors have cast a shadow over his time at the club, despite the backing of manager Arsene Wenger.

Having begun his career in the MSP Szamotuly football academy when he was 14-years-old, he played for three small Polish clubs before signing for Lech Poznan in the 2004-05 season. Grabbing the attention of Legia Warszawa, Fabianski was signed and competed with Artur Boruc, who would later move to Celtic and he helped Legia win the Polish league championship in the following 2005-2006 season

With some exceptional performances, he won the Football Oscar for the best goalkeeper in the Polish Ekstraklasa in both the 2005 and 2006 seasons, catching the eye of Arsene Wenger at Arsenal. However, despite being given a chance to shine, the Pole erred continually when elevated to the first-team - with mistakes against Porto, Wigan, Blackburn and Stoke putting him in the spotlight.

Strengths: An agile goalkeeper, he gets around his area and has excellent reflexes.

Weaknesses: Suspect from crosses, his decision making has been questioned and his mental fragility has been highlighted. With low confidence levels, he can be a liability in goal.

Career high: Given a run of games at the end of the 2009-10 season and kept clean sheets against Fulham and Manchester City.

Career low: A number of errors with Arsenal saw him criticised in the media, and his display against FC Porto in the Champions League saw him hit an all-time low.

Style: Agile, athletic, but there are questions over his mental strength.
