Perth Glory maintained their unbeaten start to the A-League season with a 2-1 victory over Wellington Phoenix at nib Stadium.

The hosts opened the scoring in just the fifth minute through Mile Sterjovski, who tapped home from Todd Howarth's square ball inside the box.
Glory added a second just after the hour mark when Robbie Fowler headed home from Sterjovski's lobbed pass but Ben Sigmund halved the deficit with 18 minutes remaining to ensure a tense finish.
"We made it hard for ourselves because we created enough chances but didn't capitalise on them," Glory coach Dave Mitchell said. "Credit to Wellington, they threw everyone up front and got a goal from a corner which made it a tight finish."
The win means Glory are second in the standings, behind Adelaide United only on alphabetical order with all other statistics level. Wellington, meanwhile, are eighth with six points from four games.
In the day's other game, Brisbane Roar were held to a goalless draw by ten-man Newcastle Jets at EnergyAustralia Stadium.
The Roar had gone into the game looking for their third win of the season while in contrast the Jets had yet to taste victory, although had lost only once.
The hosts had the better of the chances for much of the match with skipper Michael Bridges going close early on and Ali Abbas drawing a fine save from Michael Theoklitos midway through the second half.
However, their task was made harder when Ruben Zadkovic was sent off in the 81st minute after being shown a second yellow for a challenge on Michael DeVere and Roar could have snatched the points with three minutes remaining when Mitch Kennedy went through on goal but his shot was saved by Ben Kennedy.
Roar are third in the standings and trail the league leaders by three points while the Jets are ninth.
