South Korea winger Lee Chung-Yong is not entertaining thoughts of leaving Bolton Wanderers this summer, despite suggestions that Liverpool retain an interest in the player.

Lee enjoyed an impressive debut season in the Premier League, scoring four goals in 34 appearances in the 2009-10 campaign, and went on to shine at the World Cup when scoring against Argentina in the group stage and Uruguay in the second round.

Liverpool are believed to be long-term admirers of the 22-year-old but Lee believes he still has plenty of room for improvement at the Reebok Stadium.

"There's still much for me to learn in Bolton, so I haven't given any serious thought to the matter of a transfer," Lee told the Bolton News. "As I do my best to work with what's given to me, chances will come and I will take them.

"Money is important, and it'd be good to play for a big team like one in the Champions League, but most of all I want to go where I can develop myself."

Meanwhile, Real Madrid youngster Marcos Alonso claims he will snub interest from Benfica to join Bolton this summer. The 19-year-old is expected to move to England in the coming days.

"It's hard for a young player at Real Madrid as they always buy players," said Alonso in the Daily Mirror. "There's a lot of pressure to win trophies, so they don't give youngsters or reserves a chance.

"If I stayed I could have been in the reserves for years, but I knew I had to go to play football at the best level possible. I was impressed that Bolton watched me in the reserves and wanted me for a long time.

"I could have gone to Benfica, but felt they only wanted me as part of the deal for Angel Di Maria."
