Wilson Palacios: Aiming to swap the white of Tottenham for that of Real Madrid

Palacios has been one of Spurs' most consistent performers this season, impressing with his energetic and combative approach in the heart of Harry Redknapp's midfield.

His displays in the holding role have led to some comparisons with Claude Makelele, a player who made that position his own while at the Bernabeu, before moving on to Chelsea.

And Palacios has now revealed that he would like to emulate the Frenchman by moving to Spanish giants Real in the future.

"I am really happy at Tottenham but I will continue working for a future move to a bigger club," Palacios told the Sun. "I would love to play for Real Madrid. Today, many people respect me in England. That's because of my hard-working attitude."
