Ally McCoist has warned Celtic to expect Rangers to attack them at Parkhead, insisting that the Gers will throw off the shackles and play two up front in this Sunday's Old Firm clash.

The Ibrox number two knows boss Walter Smith has favoured a more cautious approach at Parkhead in the famous fixture in the past.

But, having watched Rangers notch up an impressive 19 goals so far this month, he fully expects in-form strikers Kenny Miller and Kris Boyd to both be given the nod on Sunday.

"I would think there will be a chance we'll go with the two of them, although we've not sat down with the gaffer yet and had a good chat about it.

"It's probably too early to talk about teams just now but the way Kris and Kenny are playing at the moment, it might just be them and nine others who start.

Rangers, currently four points clear at the top of the SPL, beat Celtic 2-1 in the first Old Firm clash of the season, with two early goals from Miller proving enough. And McCoist insists his side are ready for the Parkhead challenge.

"The lads are certainly performing well although the same applies to everyone in the team at present. They are all creating chances and scoring goals.

"We've often gone with one up front at Parkhead but, with the way things have been going lately, I don't think that'll happen.''
