Kuban said on their official website that the 42-year-old Romanian had replaced caretaker manager Pogos Galstyan after signing a five-year-contract with the club from the Black Sea region.

Petrescu, who surprisingly quit Romanian champions Unirea Urziceni last week after guiding them into the last 32 of the Europa League, will earn €1.5 million per season at Kuban, according to local media.
