Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal has pushed Luca Toni a little further out of the door by leaving him out of his squad for Sunday's Bundesliga clash with Hannover.

Van Gaal has not taken kindly to the latest round of criticism levelled at him by the Italian striker, who appears to be paving the way for a move away from the club this winter, and he is only too happy to help the 32-year-old leave.

"I have problems with players who do not conform to the normal requirements of a player of Bayern Munich, and that is Toni,'' he said.

As far as the Dutchman is concerned, the issue has now been dealt with once and for all and there is going to be no way back into the squad for the Italian.

"You can ask me every week, but I am not going to answer anymore," he told journalists in Munich.

Roma and Valencia are both believed to be chasing the former Italy international, who favours a return to Serie A in order to boost his chances of returning to the national team in time for next summer's World Cup.
