Coach Lawrie McKinna hopes Central Coast's devastating away form which produced nine goals in two A-League games will give their fans something to cheer back at Bluetongue Stadium this week.Central Coast thumped North Queensland Fury 5-1 in Townsville on Saturday night, a week after belting ladder leaders Melbourne Victory 4-0 in Melbourne.It was the first time the Mariners have scored five goals in an A-League match, with Nik Mrdja scoring twice and Pedj Bojic, Ahman Elrich and John Hutchinson also finding the net.The goal blitz continued an impressive run for the Mariners, who have three wins, a draw and a loss in five consecutive games on the road and continue to boast the best defensive record in the league.They host Perth at Bluetongue Stadium in Gosford on Friday and McKinna wants his players to treat their home fans to the same form.Central Coast have posted just two wins from five home games this year, their last victory a 3-0 result over the Gold Coast on September 19."Going back to Bluetongue (Stadium) on the back of a great run is great for us," said McKinna."We have played five games (away from home), three wins, Brisbane, Melbourne and Fury, a draw against Adelaide and we got beaten by Newcastle."Our finishing tonight was outstanding. On paper it looks like a very easy win, but I can assure you it was very hard."It's a huge achievement for the boys getting that form on the road, but going back-to-back gets that momentum going, it's a huge win for the club."Bojic implored his teammates to keep their focus in the run to Christmas with tricky clashes against Perth (home), Gold Coast (away), Melbourne (home) and Sydney (away) over the coming month."This is probably the trickiest part of the season for us and to get the results that we have is pretty phenomenal for an away record and now coming home, not that the pressure is off us now, we still have to keep it on and keep the home record going because we haven't lost at home this season," he said.
