WORLD CUP REWARD
LeGuen extends contract with Cameroon
Cameroon coach Paul LeGuen has signed a seven-month extension to his contract which will keep him in charge of the team at next year's African Nations Cup and World Cup finals, federation officials announced on Thursday.
The French-born coach originally signed a five-month deal with Cameroon in July with the task of resurrecting their hopes of a place at the two tournaments.
LeGuen then won four qualifying matches in a row to secure an African record sixth World Cup finals appearance for the Indomitable Lions. They will also participate in January's African Nations Cup finals in Angola.
