Pavlyuchenko arrived at Spurs from Spartak Moscow at the start of last season for a fee believed to be in the region of £14 million but he is out of favour under manager Harry Redknapp and has indicated that he wants to leave the club.
The 27-year-old has been linked with clubs in Italy and Germany in recent months but, after Russia boss Guus Hiddink told him he must play regular first-team football if he is to play at the World Cup, Pavlyuchenko has revealed he would like to secure a move back to Spartak.
"I have a huge desire to return," he told Sportbox in Russia. "If I receive a good offer, I'll be sure to accept it. Spartak has a place in my heart, always.
"In my first year in England, I played consistently, scored goals and was successful with the national team. I had an insight into English football and learned a lot. It was a good, if not completely positive, experience and will be helpful for the future, so I have no regrets, but the current situation doesn't suit me."
