Ahead of England's high-profile friendly against Brazil, Kaka has stated he has no regrets over his decision to reject a move to Manchester City last January.

City's audacious attempt to sign the Brazil playmaker from AC Milan ended in failure when the player indicated his preference was to remain with the Rossoneri and after finishing the season in Serie A, Kaka joined Real Madrid for a fee of £56 million.

While City have invested heavily in their playing staff, Real Madrid embarked on an unprecedented spending spree over the summer when securing the signatures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, amongst others, to accompany that of Kaka.

And the player is happy with his decision to become a member of the Real squad, rather than being at the forefront of the City revolution.

"Do I regret not moving to Manchester City? No. I am happy with what I have chosen in my life," Kaka said. "I've spoken a lot to Robinho and he is very happy there and Manchester City have bought a lot of quality players.

"But now I am with Real Madrid and very happy with the choice I made. I have no regrets with the decision I made."

Kaka is also expecting a tough encounter with England on Saturday evening, despite the absence of a significant number of first-team players for the European side. The likes of Frank Lampard, David Beckham and Steven Gerrard are all absent, but Kaka fears the influence of their Italian manager over any player.

"What qualities do England possess? I think the Fabio Capello factor is a very important thing to understand," Kaka said. "They have good individual players and there are good characteristics to the side in every game. England are a very tough team to play against but that is good because it is a big motivation now to understand how England play."
