Cesc Fabregas enjoys his performance against AZ Alkmaar.
While Robin van Persie, Andrei Arshavin and Thomas Vermaelen have all earned praise at times this season, Fabregas is arguably in the form of his life and boasts no less than eight goals and 11 assists in 13 games this season.
Fabregas was at his best once again on Wednesday night, scoring twice in a 4-1 destruction of AZ Alkmaar that has led some to speculate that Arsenal could be contenders to win the Champions League under Arsene Wenger.
Having not won a trophy since the 2005 FA Cup, Arsenal are under increasing pressure to secure silverware for their supporters and Eboue feels that in Fabregas, they have the ideal talisman to achieve that aim.
When asked if Fabregas could continue his impressive form and lift a trophy for the side, Eboue told ESPN Soccernet: "Why not? We have got some confidence. We can do it, we can do it. But we have to play very well and pray to God.
"If you continue to play like this then we will score more goals because we believe in our team. Now we have more confidence in our team. If we give 100% on the pitch we can go forward.
"I don't know if I can say he [Fabregas] is the best in Europe! But Fabregas, everyone knows he is a really good player and he gives Arsenal some help in our team.
"He is a good captain and we are very happy for him. They way he plays and the way he scores, we are very happy for him."
