Germany to play Argentina in friendly in March

Germany will take on Argentina in a friendly match in Munich on March 3 as part of both teams' preparations for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the German soccer federation said on Friday.

"I am happy they agreed," said Germany coach Joachim Löw. "Despite some problems in their qualification, Argentina are in my opinion one of the strongest teams in the world."

The game is part of a two-match package agreed with the South Americans with the other friendly set for 2012.
