Falcao joined Porto from River Plate.

Radamel Falcao put the visitors ahead after a quarter of an hour with Bruno Alves doubling the lead on the stroke of half-time. Falcao got a second five minutes from time to complete a comprehensive victory.

Sporting lost ground on Porto after a goalless home draw with Belenenses left them five points adrift of second place and ten points behind leaders Braga.

A last-minute penalty by Hugo Morais earned Leixoes a 3-2 home win over Uniao Leiria.

Carlao put the visitors ahead in the 15th minute with Aro Leo levelling on the half-hour mark. A Nelson Benitez own goal restored Uniao Leiria's lead but the sides were on level terms thanks to Ze Manel three minutes later. The game appeared to be heading for a draw before Morais' dramatic winner.
