Carroll expected to join Odense after Derby exit
Roy Carroll is expected to join Danish side Odense after being released by Derby County.
The Northern Ireland international goalkeeper has left Pride Park by mutual agreement after it became clear he was surplus to requirement under Nigel Clough.
Carroll made 38 appearances for Derby after joining from Rangers in 2008 and his final first-team game for the club came in the 4-2 defeat at his former club Manchester United in the Carling Cup semi-final in January.
He was signed by Paul Jewell but Clough, who has removed several of the high earners he inherited from the wage bill, has preferred Stephen Bywater and has signed Saul Deeney from Burton Albion as cover.
