Lucho set to move from FC Porto to Marseille

Marseille have agreed a deal to sign Porto midfielder Lucho Gonzalez, subject to a medical.

The 28-year-old Argentina international is poised to sign a four-year contract with last season's Ligue 1 runners-up, who are now coached by Didier Deschamps.

A statement on Marseille's official website read: "An agreement was reached on Tuesday between Porto, Marseille and the player for a transfer of Lucho Gonzalez to Marseille."

Gonzalez has been sidelined since April with a knee problem but Marseille are confident the player will pass his medical and join with the rest of the squad at a training camp in Evian on Saturday.
