Beckham should be fit for Milan's trip to Siena

AC Milan midfielder David Beckham has declared himslef fit to travel to Siena for Sunday's Serie A match despite injuring his ankle in training.

David Beckham will be returning to the San Siro.

The former England captain has started every league match for Milan since making his debut against Roma on January 11 and he's confident he will be fit enough to keep his place in the team for the trip to the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

"I twisted it [ankle] yesterday but it's a lot better today the swelling's gone down," the 33-year-old told ESPN.

"I still probably won't train in the next day or two but I should be okay for the weekend so it's all good."

"I was actually running on the sand this morning."

Beckham announced on Sunday he would be staying on loan at Milan until the end of the season before returning to play for Los Angeles Galaxy in the MLS in July.

Milan are third in Serie A, 12 points behind leaders and city rivals Inter.
